Mr. Hall is a musicologist, consultant, educator, lecturer, singer and ASCAP composer with over 35 years experience.

He has researched and written numerous magazine articles, monographs, music collections, CD reviews, and music guides.

In addition, he is a poet and playwright. One of his poems, "Melody in G," received a national  merit award and was included in a poetry anthology. Several of his one-act plays have dealt with historical subjects.

  • Former Historian, Vice-President, Music Director of the Old Stoughton Musical Society, founded in 1786 and now the oldest choral society in America.  Also Chairman of the OSMS Bicentennial Committee in 1986, planning special exhibits, concerts, preparing an 200th anniversary commemorative program.
  • Preservation Project:  Massachusetts Cultural Council funding for Music from Stoughton   -- a community series of educational publications and videos for use in the public schools and for local residents.
