Read about his Songs of Survival...
by Roger Lee Hall
This frank and honest memoir, "SONGS OF SURVIVAL,"
is a personal remembrance of 50 years in
a songwriter's life from his early youth to
his study and composing music in the 1960s and 1970s,
then his years of suffering from bi-polar disorder during the 1980s,
and his return to a better life by the 1990s,
and his
years of music
teaching, performing and composing.
He was the first in his family to graduate from both high school and college.
Also, he was the only family member to make a career in music.
His memoir was originally published in 1996
with just a few pictures in the book.
Now, it has been revised and expanded
with many more pictures added
and is now available exclusively here
as a PDF book
sent to you directly via email attachment.
Now with a music bonus!
This revised edition also has two early songs by the author
sent along with the book via email attachment.
Exceprt from the Prelude of this book:
How can songs save someone's life? In my case they did.
These songs helped me survive the many twisted paths of my life.
Some were pleasant paths filled with sunshine and smiles.
Others were dark and barren, full of fear and frustration.
For me, all of these paths were designated by song signposts.
They were my SOS - my distress signals.
All these songs have had a healing effect on me.
They are more than just melodies.
For me they have meant life or death.
That's why I call them my "songs of survival."
