Roger Lee Hall began as a songwriter in the 1960s. His favorite song was written after a visit to London, England in 1963 where he first heard recordings by The Beatles.

He wrote both the words and music for the song which was copyrighted in 1964 and recorded one year later
at a recording studio in Bloomfield, New Jersey.

From the the 1970s to 1990s, he produced and hosted over 50 guest segments on radio in the Boston area.

Roger Hall also hosted his own 4 hour nightly radio program, "IN THE MOOD," and his theme song was the popular recording by Glenn Miller and His Orchestra from the 1940s.

The time period for his program was music from the 1930's, 1940 and 1950s.

On his first program of 16 August 1993, he played music by Big Band musicians like Duke Ellington and Benny Goodman.

He also did a special memorial tribute to Elvis Presley who had died on that same date in 1977.

in later programs he did special tribute like "A George Gershwin Gala" and "Hollywood Halloween."

Each week he had special nights devoted to "A Night At The Movies" and "A Night At The Theater"
