Music for personal peace...

All the music was composed and arranged

by ASCAP composer, Roger Lee Hall,

and includes Christmas carols, an Easter hymn,

several Afro-American spirituals

and Shaker spirituals,

plus other sacred music.

"Creator God" was first composed as a hymn

for St. Cecilia's Day (November 22)


No. 18 - This hymn was expanded in a choir anthem in 1993,

composed in memory of John D. Herr,

former Music Director of the Plymouth Church Choir

in Shaker Heights, Ohio.

Here are the four stanzas for the title hymn:

Creator God, we give You thanks
For all the glories You have made.
Help us to see You in Your work,
The Artist in the art displayed.

As we survey Your handiwork
Restrain our minds from petty greed,
Respect for Your great design
Is reverence paid to You indeed.

What You have given us in trust
Is only ours to rightly use
Deliever us from thoughtless deeds
That plunder, pillage and abuse.

Help us to see Your draftsman's hans
In every blade of grass, each flower,
That we may stand in awe before
The work of Your creative power.
